My love affair with knitting began almost 50 years ago. To keep my Great Grandmother McDonald and me out of trouble while they cooked Thanksgiving dinner, my mom and Grandmother stuck us in a corner together. Great Grandma taught me the basics at five years old, and the rest is history.
I fell even more deeply in love with knitting when Joy and Colleen opened Hand Held – A Knitting Gallery over eight years ago. There, I could touch and feel and go nuts. I would bring a big bag of yarn home and my husband Max would say, “See you in a couple of weeks.”
Now, I am the proprietor! I can’t thank Colleen and Joy enough for building this gorgeous, fantasy of a business and trusting me to carry it forward.
I have been knitting for half a century. What I love about knitting is that there is always something new to learn. Join me at my shop. I’ll show you what I know, and maybe you will teach me a thing or two!
